Apodis II - old

The upcoming Apodis II product family of OTN Processors, optimal for high-density OTN blades, supports a broad range of services. Universal Client ports can be configured in the range 100M-11G. Apodis II supports FE/GbE/10GE signals along with Carrier Ethernet OA&amp;M, IEEE 1588 V2 H/W Time Stamping, full RMON statistics and more. It also supports STM1/OC3/STM4/OC12/STM16/OC48/STM64/OC192 legacy SDH/SONET services. OTN client signals of the following rates are supported as well: OTU0, OTU1 and OTU2. Native video distribution applications are supported, including DVB-ASI, 270M/1.5G/3G SDI signals. Native storage applications supported by Apodis II processors include ESCON, FC100, FC200, FC400, FC800 and FC1200 signals. Apodis II devices also support mobile fronthaul (MFH) applications addressing CPRI signals from Option 1 to Option 8. In order to support this wide variety of advanced services, Apodis II processors map each corresponding bit-rate into an appropriate ODU0/1/2/flex container. OTU2 line signals are equipped with optional FEC algorithms: GFEC, UFEC I.7 and EFEC I.4. Apodis II benefit from unique, patented built-in SERDES elements, with integrated jitter attenuators and synthesizers. Apodis II devices do not require any external component in order to meet jitter tolerance, transfer and generation requirements. Configurable jitter attenuation filter poles enable Apodis II so support SyncE services as well. Apodis II products address a range of capacities: 40/20/10G. Apodis II devices are pin-compatible with Apodis I, and benefit from identical electrical design rules and s/w APIs. Apodis II samples will be shortly delivered to select customers.<BR>
