IPL4201M - 10G OTN Processor

 

The IPL4201M is an OTN processor supporting up to 10G of full-duplex Client Side and up to 10G of full-duplex Line Side signals. It comprises 8 multi-gigabit Client Ports, a non-blocking 10Gx10G OTN switching fabric, an extensive suite of OTN mapping options and either a 10G or 4x2.7G OTN ports on its Line Side.

 

The IPL4201M is equipped with 12 multi-rate, universal IPLightSERDES© elements, 8 of them supporting the Client Side and an additional 4 supporting the Line Side. The IPL4201M Client Side comprises 2 Client Signal Processors (CSP), each equipped with 4 IPLightSERDES© elements. Each CSP can process 10Gbps of data presented as either 4 independent low-rate (1-2.7Gbps) signals or as one 10Gbps signal. The CSPs offer a wide range of OTN mapping options. As an example in case 1GE signals can be either GMP mapped into ODU0 bearers or GFP-F mapped into either ODU1 or ODU2 bearer signals.

 

At the core of the IPL4201M is the Transparent Agnostic Fabric (TAF) that provides full ODU0/1/2 level connectivity between the ports of the IPL4201M. The IPL4201M’s Line Side comprises 1 Line Signal Processor (LSP) equipped with 4 IPLightSERDES© elements. The LSP can process 10Gbps of data presented either as OTU2 or ODU2 or OTU1 signals. The LSP supports both 1.25G Tributary Slot as well as ODU1 based ODU2 multiplexing.
